Elizabeth Hoover aka Liz Hoover booted from ‘Indigenous Jurisdiction’ team

Questions about Elizabeth Hoover aka Liz Hoover have been swirling for years, as already noted by Pretendian Country Today and by Indianz.Com. So why did she only come clean about her “identity” just last week?

Well it seems that some answers are emerging. And as with most Pretendian figures, Hoover’s disclosure seems to be all about the resources — in this case, a two year- grant project funded by the government of Canada!

Yes, on October 21, 2022, the co-directors of the grant project — known as “Infrastructure Beyond Extractivism: Material Approaches To Restoring Indigenous Jurisdiction” — announced that Dr. Hoover was removed from their team following a formal ethics complaint about her claimed tribal affiliations.

“Concerns were raised to the co-Directors of the Infrastructure Beyond Extractivism partnership grant team about Dr. Elizabeth Hoover, and her claims of Mohawk and Mi’kmaw identity,” the statement reads. “One community member filed a formal ethics complaint with us, triggering our team’s Ethics & Accountability Framework and Intervention Process.”
