Publisher expresses 'utmost concern' about working with Elizabeth Hoover aka Liz Hoover

The professional fallout continues for Elizabeth Hoover / Liz Hoover, a scholar who made a name for herself in Native food circles — all while claiming to be of “Mohawk/Mi'kmaq descent.”

This time it’s the University of Minnesota Press with concerns. According to a statement provided to Indianz.Com, Dr. Hoover’s forthcoming book is “on hold” after she admitted she lacks any connections to the Mohawk or Mi'kmaq tribes she has claimed for decades.
