Are you an aspiring academic? Do you want to conduct research, write books, speak at scholarly conferences, acquire grant money and teach impressionable young people about your Pretendian ideals and Pretendian heritage?
Well then the University of Kansas (KU) might be the perfect place for you! For this publicly-funded institution in America’s heartland doesn’t care one bit if you base your entire career on lies and lore. In fact, it seems like fabrication is a pre-requisite for employment on campus.
Yes, that’s the stance KU is strongly taking — even when confronted with clear evidence about three particular Pretendian professors who go by the names of Kent Blansett, Jay Johnson and Ray Pierotti. The local newspaper of record contacted all of the tribes (and there are many) claimed by this trio and found absolutely zero connections with any tribal nation.
Despite the evidence, KU spokesperson Erinn Barcomb-Peterson said it was none of the school’s business what lies these professors peddle in and out of the classroom. She told The Kansas City Star, in a story published on July 25, 2023, to look elsewhere for answers, a very odd position for an institution of supposed higher learning.
“This sounds like a topic you should explore with the individuals involved, not the university,” Barcomb-Peterson told The Star.
“This is not a university matter — i.e. an employee’s self-identified ancestry has nothing to do with their employment,” the spokesperson added.
In other words, GO AWAY!
